THE NEW 20s
Extra
"The New 20s", is inspired by an analogy between the post-World War I era and the period we are currently living through.
In the years following the war, starting in 1920, the Art Deco artistic movement emerged, which at the time unified all types of art worldwide. This movement was inspired by the early avant-garde movements, such as Constructivism, Cubism, Futurism, and Art Nouveau, from which it evolved.
Currently, starting in 2020, we are experiencing a crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, where we have faced the need to find new ways to continue evolving, much like art did back then.
We consider this era the “New 20s,” and this typography is named accordingly.
The letters are composed of diagonals and robust elements, achieving a balance with thin lines and rounded corners, representing the harmony between contemporary factors and elements based on Art Deco.
